BHS Writing Center
Need Help with Your Writing?
The Writing Center staff in Room 113 are here to assist you with all of the writing assignments you have in any of your classes and, of course, Senior Project. See this semester's schedule in the "Document Library" for the list of faculty members and the days/periods when they are available.
Follow these steps to access the Center or to make an appointment:
§ Prior to coming to the center, obtain a pass from your subject area teacher for whom you are writing;
§ Report to your study hall teacher first, so you will not be marked absent, and then go directly to Room 113;
§ Sign in when you arrive at Room 113;
§ Bring all the materials you need, including the assignment, rubrics, texts, etc.
Students are seen on a first-come-first-served basis unless they have scheduled an appointment. To schedule an appointment and ensure that you can receive the help you need when you need it, e-mail your request to writingcenter@bpsmail.org, including the date and period when you are free to meet, then follow the steps above.
Walk-ins are always welcome, but remember that those students who have made appointments get first priority!
We look forward to seeing you in Room 113 this semester!
The Writing Center staff believe all students can learn to write effectively with the appropriate professional support and guidance and the requisite personal effort and commitment to improvement.
