Local Scholarships

 

 

Attention Juniors:  AFP (The Association of Fundraising Executives, RI Chapter) announces the 21st annual Youth in Philanthropy Award Kaplan Scholarship for a junior who best exemplifies positive civic and community support through their interest in, commitment to and active involvement in volunteer and philanthropic causes. It is the hope of AFP that the award winner's chosen education area will nurture a continued interest in community service through voluntarism and philanthropy.  The submission deadline date is July 15, 2010.  You may pick up a copy of the application in the BHS Guidance Office.

 

RI Environmental Police Officers Association has a scholarship for $250 to assist students with the cost of books and other college supplies.  The student should be planning to major in the field of Natural Resource Protection, Environmental Studies, and/or Environmental Management. You may pick up the application in the BHS Guidance Office.  Deadline is June 12, 2010.

RI Foundation has scholarships available that can be downloaded from their website.

RI Italian American Hall of Fame will offer several scholarship awards to the best male and female scholar-atheletes and scholar-artists in the State.  You may pick up the application in the BHS Guidance Office.  The deadline is June 25, 2010.
