Attention Students: The last day to add/drop a class is Monday, February 8th.

Preparing for the SAT course begins at Barrington High School on March 2nd at BHS. The course is designed for 11th graders and consists of eight 2-hour coaching sesions of intensive prepartion for the May 1st SAT. Tuition is $220. You may register with the Barrington Community School by contacting Crystal at 245-0432 until 1:00pm weekdays.

Student Leaders' Program is being offered by Bank of America for community-minded high school juniors and seniors. This is an 8 week paid summer internship at a local non-provit. For more information click on the link. Application deadline is February 17, 2010.

Wheelock College will host Decision Day on Saturday, January 30, 2010. High school seniors interested in applying to Wheelock College may bring their completed applications in on January 30th and leave with an admissions decision. Students may register by contacting Jamie Coan, Senior Undergraduate Admissions Counselor at 617-829-2204 or by email at jcoan@wheelock.edu.

Reminder to Seniors: If you require mid-year grades to be sent to your "non" common application schools, please let the Guidance Office know.

If you are applying to colleges who do not use the Common Application please fill out a Transcript Request Form either online or pick up one in the Guidance Office and return it to Guidance with the appropriate school report forms. Make sure when filling out the Common Application that you list your Guidance Counselor as well as his/her email address. Please note: We do not send transcripts to coaches. You may pick up an unofficial copy of your transcript and send/deliver it to the coach/coaches yourself.

RIASFAA - RI Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators will host COLLEGE GOAL SUNDAY on January 31, 2010 at six RI locations to assist the students and parents in RI communities with the college financial aid process. It is a free service to RI citizens. Families will be able to receive assistance with filling out the FAFSA form, have their questions answered, and most of all, they will leave the program with a sense of ease, accomplishment, and knowledge. RI Foundation has scholarships available that can be downloaded from their website. Also, check the Scholarship Page periodically as we update scholarships when we receive them, as well as the College Open Houses & Career Info Sessions for listing of upcoming career expos.
- Working Papers information from the RI Dept. of Child Labor : The employer should provide The Intent to Employ Minor form (or you can dowload it) which must be signed by the employer and child's guardian. If your child will be working in Massachusetts you should pick up the forms at the Seekonk School Administration Bldg.
