School Counseling Services

Barrington High School's counseling department offers personalized services designed to respond to the developmental needs of all students. Each counselor facilitates student development in three major areas: Academic, College/Career and Personal/Social.

Students are assigned to counselors alphabetically freshman year and work with that counselor for their entire high school career.   Counselors work collaboratively with teachers to ensure that each student is appropriately placed in subject areas.  A great deal of emphasis is also placed on making sure the student is prepared for and in a position to meet his or her post-secondary goals
