Sweetheart Dance: Reminder, the dance is this Friday May 9th from 6-8pm at Barrington Middle School. Payment is at the door via cash or Venmo/PayPal/ApplePay - $5 per person. Dress up or dress down for beach themed fun, with music & dancing by DJ Donnie, a photo booth, corn hole, cup stacking, temp tattoos, desserts and 2 food trucks in the parking lot. Please note this is not a drop-off event, each family must have an adult with them. Hope to see you there! If you have any questions or still need to RSVP, reach out to Capi Seadale at capucineseadale@gmail.com.
Cookout: On Monday, June 16, 2025, we will have our annual family cookout after our Outdoor Day. You should have received an order form in your child’s backpack on Monday. If you or your child is ordering lunch on the day of the cookout, all orders need to be placed by Friday, May 30, 2025. The order form may be found here.
PTO: The PTO’s May calendar may be found here.
School Play Tickets: Our second and third grade thespians are hard at work rehearsing for Aladdin, Jr. They have two upcoming performances on May 31, 2025: 12:30 and 6:30. Tickets are available for purchase. Information on how to purchase tickets may be found here.
Student SMART Watches: We continue to see SMART watches being used by our students and students using them for various purposes. Please remind your child that the watches are not to be used during the school day, including taking videos of friends or receiving text messages from parents. If parents need to get a message to their child during the school day about a change of dismissal or any other reason, you need to contact the office. A text to your child will NOT be taken as a notification to a change in dismissal.
Town Meeting: We have a Town Meeting scheduled for Monday afternoon at 1:45 hosted by Ms. Lovegreen’s class. If you are dismissing your child from Town Meeting, you MUST send a note that morning. Your child will then be dismissed as a “walker” and you can meet them outside in the back of the building. If we do not receive a note that morning, your child will be sent home their normal Monday way. There will not be exceptions to this; dismissal gets too busy in the office and classrooms to make these late changes.
Have a great day.
Best,
Jim Callahan
Principal
