🏅🧫🧬BHS SCIENCE OLYMPIAD STUDENTS COMPETE AT NATIONALS: Our Barrington High School Science Olympiad team competed at the National Science Olympiad tournament in Lincoln, Nebraska, this week and had a great showing! BHS senior, Isabelle, and juniors, Neal and Iris, placed first out of 61 teams in the experimental design event. Theirs is the first national win in any event for Rhode Island students since 1996! 👏🌟🎊 Way to go, young scientists! 🧠🙌

🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️🦅BHS TRACK TEAMS ARE CLASS B CHAMPIONS: Congratulations to our Barrington High School boys and girls outdoor track teams for becoming Class B champs over the weekend! The BHS boys team scored 252 points at Saturday’s championship meet, nearly 200 points ahead of the second place finisher. The Eagles had class champions in 11 out of 19 events, including 22 All-Class (top 3) performances. Special congrats to BHS student-athlete, Caleb, who smashed Barrington's 1983 school record in the high jump. With a 7'0" jump, he now ranks 13th in the nation in this event! 👟🙌🏻 The BHS girls team scored 156.5 points, more than 50 points ahead of the runners up, and earned the team’s first outdoor track class championship title since 2015! 👏🏻🎉 Way to go, Eagles! Our athletes will compete for state championship titles on June 7 at Brown University. 🏆⭐️🦅

✏️🧮🏆BHS MATH TEAM WINS STATE CHAMPIONSHIP: Congratulations to the Barrington High School math team for winning the Rhode Island Math League State Championship! The math team scored 367 points this season, tying a state record set in 2006 by Barrington, and brought home the state title for the 22nd time in the last 26 years. 🌎💡MLL TEACHERS RECEIVE TEACHING GRANT: Congratulations to two of our multilingual learner (MLL) teachers, Catarina Anselmo and Terri Couto, who have received a teaching fellowship grant from Fund for Teachers! ⭐️ This summer, they will travel to Brazil to observe and learn from an Indigenous community in Três Unidos, Amazonas, Brazil.
